HOW TO GET TO SLUSHWAVE 2026
GETTING TO BELGIUM
By plane
Brussels Airport (BRU)
Main Belgian airport that has easy train connections to all major cities, including a direct train to Kortrijk.
Brussels Charleroi (CRL)
Small airport in Charleroi, south of Brussels, mainly used by low-cost airlines. Buses and trains to Brussels to join the main transport network.
Lille, France (LIL)
Closest geographically to Kortrijk but not recommended for flights. Interesting option if it saves you money.
By boat
A valid alternative option for UK visitors coming by car as Calais and Dunkirk ferry terminals are less than two hours’ drive away from Kortrijk.
By train
You can look at travel options and book tickets from all high-speed train providers on Belgian Rail’s international website: b-europe.com
To easily map out an itinerary and get an accurate view of distances and timing, we recommend using google.com/maps
Trains are generally punctual and affordable. Tickets within Belgium are based on destination and date, not an exact seat or hour of departure so this gives a lot of flexibility.
GETTING TO KORTRIJK
By train
Kortrijk train station is large and has direct trains to Ghent, Antwerp, Oudenaarde, Brussels, Brussels Airport, Roeselare, Brugge, Ostend, Ieper, Mouscron, Tournai and Lille Flandres station in France.
By car
If you wish to park close to the venue we recommend Parking Broeltorens or Parking Budabrug. Parking Broeltorens has day rates and amenities for Camper Vans. Be aware that Central Kortrijk is inconvenient for cars due to one-way streets and cycling boulevards.
Getting around in Kortrijk
Both SLUSHWAVE and NATUREWAVE are located within walking distance of the train station, as are most of the city’s restaurants, shops, historical sites and hotels. If you wish to explore the city we recommend renting a bicycle through Mobiel next to the train station.
Lodging
Kortrijk has many hotels, from small boutique places to big chains such as Ibis. For a more budget-conscious option we can recommend Focus Budget or Hostel Groeninge.
